SuperMemo: Trimmed Interface |
Trimmed interface contains a localization table which can be used in the Beginner and Basic levels of SuperMemo to remove all shortcut key combinations (e.g. to resolve keyboard problems in older versions of Windows)
3 steps are required to make the Trimmed localization table work on your computer:

Tip: By default, setup will copy the localization table in the TRANSLAT subdirectory of the SM2002 directory on the disk C. The SM2002 directory on the disk C is the default installation directory and path for SuperMemo. If you have installed your copy of SuperMemo in a different location than that above (i.e. C:\SM2002), use the Browse… button to locate and select your installation directory for SuperMemo. |
STEP 3: Setup the Trimmed localization table in SuperMemo
To set up the Trimmed localization table in SuperMemo, please do:

Tip: For the sake of user-friendliness of SuperMemo, the program makes it possible to change the range of options available to a user through difficulty levels available by clicking File > Level from the program's main menu.
If you are in the Beginner or Basic level, the Tools menu will not be displayed in the program's main menu. Consequently, you will not be able to access the Options dialog box to change the settings of the program. Use File > Level > Middle to go to the Middle difficulty level of SuperMemo where the Tools menu is available. |
Important: The Trimmed localization table will affect the SuperMemo interface only in the Beginner and Basic difficulty levels. It will not work in the Middle and Professional levels. Use File > Level > Beginner from the program's main menu to go back to the Beginner difficulty level of SuperMemo or File > Level > Basic to go back to the Basic level.
